As the winter season is upon us I wanted to describe my equipment during this season, bringing first a description of clothing and then a description of the photo.
One of the mistakes made during the first outings in the snow is to dress for fear of suffering is too cold, but you realize quickly that climbing on snow with snowshoes is one of the more strenuous activities there are in the mountains and you sweat a lot even if the temperature is below freezing. Sweating a lot and with little breathable garments completely wet then you are suffering very cold and it's easy once you "cool" after the physical effort of the climb or during breaks photographs.
To walk in the snow it takes light clothes, able to retain body heat and breathe at the same time. If you go into a store you will see that mountain most will suggest microfleece, Windstopper ® outer shells or Gore-Tex ® jackets rather than feather or heavy batteries ;-)
In motagna is still valid, the grandmother's advice: wear an onion! :)

Quechua Bionnassay 700 winter trousers are relatively cheap compared with prices of pants brands such as Millet, Mammoth, etc.. Are very similar to ski pants, but they are a little wider for easier walking. At the bottom of the reinforcements have to withstand any
crampons and gaiters incorporated. The only defect of the latter is the task of keeping them in position is entrusted to a single hooks to be inserted in the laces of his boots: there is no elastic strap to be inserted between the heel and sole of the boot that is usually present in the ghetto! It 's easy to go long or deep snow, the portion of the gaiter around the heel lifts off to expose the boot.
These pants are unfortunately not as only 100% waterproof trousers in Gore-Tex ® can be, but pants that cost twice the material (from € 200-300).
I think we can well do without the Gore-Tex ® considering that the snow in the coldest months do not have time to wet your pants because it is very slight slips without giving away major problems ;-)
Patagonia Merino It 's a cozy long-sleeved merino wool and synthetic materials. This head is hot, hot! Usually during the climb wearing only this garment! Of course a different matter if it's windy, but sunny days and climbing is also perfect alone: \u200b\u200bI have never suffered from very cold .. even
Mammut Yukon Tech Jacket This is a micro just purchased to address the 'winter 2010-2011
:-) It' s very elastic and adheres perfectly to the body, which is important to maintain body heat, but the 3 main features are the presence of holes on both sleeves for inch, a cap molto avvolgente che lascia fuori solo naso e occhi e una cierniera che permette di aprire completamente il micropile. La cierniera secondo me è molto comoda per trovare quella mezza misura tra il non patire freddo e il non sudare come una bestia durante una camminata con le ciaspole (^_^)
Haglofs Fang Jacket Questa è una giacca in Windstopper® che trovo fenomenale. L'ho già testata in una giornata di bufera e non ho avuto problemi di freddo di alcun tipo nonostante a prima vista possa sembrare un capo leggerissimo. Con questa giacca, un buon intimo e un buon pile/micropile anche in giornate fredde si è al caldo.
Questa soluzione giacca windstopper+micropile è l'ideale per mantenere il calore corporeo, ma allo stesso tempo favorire la traspirazione del sudore
Mammut Astro Glove e
Northface Neck Gaiter Guanti e scaldacollo.
Le mani di solito sono il punto più debole per tutti i frequentatori della montagna d'inverno, ma per un fotografo che le ha sempre esposte al freddo per impugnare la macchina lo sono ancora di più e si "inchiodano" letteralmente! Io utilizzo guanti in Windstopper® perchè molto comodi per fotografare in quanto sottili e si ha quindi un'ottima sensibilità sui vari comandi della macchina o per aprire cerniere della giacca/zaino ecc. Ve li consiglio!
Scaldacollo, anche questo è un indumento fondamentale in montagna per evitare fastidiosi mal di gola o torcicollo del giorno dopo ;-)
AKU® UtahMicroGTX . Li uso ormai da 3 anni e li reputo favolosi! mai avuto problemi di freddo o di umidità. Sono semiramponabili e quindi si possono usare anche su terreni molto impegnativi.
Questi indumenti invernali purtroppo sono molto costosi, ma senz'altro sono molto resistenti e quindi durano nel tempo (un pò come un ottica F/2,8 cercando un paragone con la fotografia ^_^) e li amerete when, with temperatures well below zero will not make you suffer cold (always within certain limits of course) or the sweat will dry quickly.

NB I can give a recommendation: it just goes with snowshoes on snow, forget the ice! In the bag over the clothes mentioned, I always put a further microfleece and a couple of spare socks and of course the viveraggio (thermos, chocolate, etc.).

5539 g This equipment is usually one of the outputs of 4-5 hours. The typical output for a sunset-sunrise on land that I know very well and do not require much physical effort.
The first equipment is for the outputs instead of 7-8 hours of walking and on challenging roads where it is important not to get away with goals that might needlessly can be used to take 2-3 photos throughout the day.
To store the photographic equipment and do not, I usually use both.

Naturalmente non ha una zona specifica per riporre l'attrezzatura fotografica, ma portando con se solo una reflex più obbiettivo non si hanno grossi problemi. Di solito ripongo l'attrezzatura fotografica dentro un
Toploader 65AW della Lowepro che inserisco a sua volta nello zaino. Filtri e altri accessori li ripongo in the upper pocket of the backpack. Comfortable straps at the side that can be used to tie the tripod.
Usually I take with me in this backpack out the most demanding or providing an overnight shelter / tent.
