After so many years Saturday, October 16th at last I managed to find the perfect autumn day to go down to the Falls Lavacchiello the fact I was lucky enough to find a cloudy day, but rain and beech trees in full autumn dress. A show!
I open a small parenthesis on a cloudy day because I consider it ideal for fotogafare streams sopprattutto enclosed in the undergrowth as if often the case in mountain streams and waterfalls.
In the absence of sunlight have two main advantages: first of all you can "stretch" the shutter speed without using the ND filter (Neutral Density) and then get the nice silky effect created by water movement. Some do not like it, but I think if you go too far with the times, makes this picture much more impact and atmosphere. ;-)
Second and more important advantage: you will not lose details or on the river and even in the shadows of the undergrowth, especially in a season like autumn, it is important to capture them better. in presenza del Sole sul corso d'acqua si creano dei riflessi molto fastidiosi e impossibili da non "bruciare" a meno di ottenere una foto completamente buia! Se invece volessi dare risalto ai colori autunnali del sottobosco che circondano il fiume esponendoli correttamente quasi certamente poi tutto il corso d'acqua risulterà privo di dettagi perchè "bruciato".
In termini più tecnici: in assenza di Sole nel sottobosco e lungo i corsi d'acqua è molto più facile ottenere un istogramma RGB al centro e quindi ottenere un file Raw ricchissimo in dettagli!
